New Delhi, India: The 22nd Indo–US Economic Summit, held at Hotel Leela Palace, featured a high-impact and forward-looking session titled “8 Years of UP Rising”, highlighting the remarkable growth, governance reforms, and investment-friendly initiatives undertaken by the Government of Uttar Pradesh over the past eight years.
The session was moderated by Mr. Mukesh Singh, Executive Council Member & Chairman, UP State Coordination Committee, IACC, who guided an engaging and insightful discussion on the state’s rapid transformation and future aspirations.
Distinguished speakers from the Government of Uttar Pradesh included: Mr. Vijay Kiran Anand, IAS, CEO, Invest UP, who outlined the state’s investment achievements, improved ease of doing business, and the robust ecosystem attracting domestic and global industries.
Mr. Mukesh Meshram, IAS, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries Department, who shared key developments in rural livelihood enhancement, dairy modernization, and sectoral reforms. Mr. Anurag Yadav, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of IT & Electronics, who highlighted the exponential digital transformation in UP, expansion of the electronics manufacturing sector, and the rise of the state as an emerging technology hub.
Mr. G. S. Priyadarshi, IAS, Commissioner, Rural Development, who emphasized innovations in rural governance, sustainable development models, and welfare-driven policies. Dr. Lalit Bhasin praised the Government of UP for its administrative reforms, industrial growth, and commitment to strengthening India’s competitive position globally.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and a prominent voice in industry–government partnerships, said: “Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a dynamic engine of growth. The state’s progressive policies, infrastructural expansion, and investor-friendly vision have opened new doors for industry, film production, media, and creative enterprises. The session concluded with a shared understanding of Uttar Pradesh’s rising economic stature and its expanding role as a leading destination for global investors, innovators, and knowledge-driven industries.
