New Delhi, 6th December – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) celebrated Finland’s Independence Day, honoring the Finnish people’s spirit of freedom, resilience, and progress.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, extended his warmest congratulations to H.E. Kimmo Lähdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to India, and the people of Finland on this momentous occasion. “On behalf of ICMEI, I wish the people of Finland peace, prosperity, and continued success. This day is a celebration of your nation’s inspiring journey toward independence and progress,” said Dr. Marwah.

New Delhi, 2nd December – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) proudly marked the National Day of the United Arab Emirates, celebrating the formation of the UAE and its spirit of unity and progress.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, extended his heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Dr. Abdulnasser Jamal Hussain Mohammed Alshaali, Ambassador of UAE to India, and the people of the UAE. “On this auspicious occasion, we honor the shared vision and camaraderie between India and the UAE. Noida, India – The 17th Global Film Festival at Marwah Film City proudly showcased the acclaimed Filipino film ITI Mapukpukaw – The Missing, directed by Carl Joseph Papa. The screening was inaugurated by H.E. Josel F. Ignacio, Ambassador of the Philippines to India, in a ceremony that celebrated the rich storytelling traditions of the Philippines.

The film captivated audiences and received widespread appreciation for its compelling narrative and artistic execution. Recognizing its excellence, ITI Mapukpukaw – The Missing was honored with an Award of Appreciation, which was presented by Festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah to H.E. Josel F. Ignacio.

Iranian Films Captivate Audiences at 17th Global Film Festival, Marwah Film City

Noida, India – The 17th Global Film Festival, held at Marwah Film City, witnessed a special showcase of celebrated Iranian cinema, including Hook directed by Hossein Rigi, Sima’s Unfinished Narration by Alireza Samadi, and Captain directed by Mohammad Hamzeiat. These films, presented as part of the festival, were met with great admiration and appreciation from the audience.

The event featured the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. F. Faridasr, the Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of Iran and the Director of the Iran Cultural House, who commended the initiative to highlight Iranian cinematic excellence on an international platform.

Highlighting the achievements of Iranian filmmakers, Hook by Hossein Rigi received an Award of Distinction for its exceptional storytelling. This accolade was accepted by the Cultural Counselor and Director of the Iran Cultural House on behalf of the filmmaker.

The screenings were organized by the Indo-Iran Film and Cultural Forum of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in collaboration with the Cultural Centre of Iran at the Embassy of Iran. The forum aims to foster cultural and cinematic ties between the two nations.
