FFI and MPA Pay Tribute to Legendary Filmmaker Yash Chopra at the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026

Noida: A heartfelt tribute to legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra was organised by the Film Federation of India (FFI) and the Motion Picture Association (MPA) during the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

The occasion celebrated Chopra’s enduring contribution to Indian cinema and his remarkable ability to bring romance, human relationships and emotion to the screen. A specially created set by the AAFT School of Interior Design provided a fitting backdrop to the tribute, connecting cinematic appreciation with the creative work of students.

Sakshi Mehra, President of the Motion Picture Association, attended the occasion along with Executive Council members Rajindar Singh, Harinder Singh, G. D. Mehta and Joginder Mahajan. Their presence reflected the film fraternity’s deep respect for a filmmaker whose work continues to inspire generations of artists and audiences.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Vice President of the Film Federation of India, presented the honour in recognition of Shukla’s talent, dedication and contribution to Indian cinema.

AAFT Journalism Students’ Special Newsletter Released at 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026

Noida: A special newsletter dedicated to the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026, prepared by the talented students of the AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism, was ceremoniously released by distinguished dignitaries at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The occasion celebrated student creativity and the role of journalism in documenting cinema, cultural exchange and international dialogue.

The newsletter release gave aspiring journalists an opportunity to showcase their work before accomplished professionals from cinema, media, fashion, music, literature and international cultural affairs. It reflected AAFT’s emphasis on practical learning and participation in major creative events.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, described the AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism as one of the most popular journalism schools in the world. Noida: A special poster highlighting the ideology and timeless teachings of Mahatma Gandhi was ceremoniously launched by distinguished dignitaries during the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. Presented by the Mahatma Gandhi Forum of Marwah Studios, the initiative celebrated Gandhiji’s enduring message of truth, non-violence, peace and service to humanity.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Vice President of the Film Federation of India and Chair of the Mahatma Gandhi Forum of Marwah Studios, emphasised the continuing relevance of Gandhian principles in building a more compassionate and harmonious society. He highlighted the responsibility of cinema, media and the arts to encourage mutual respect, promote peaceful dialogue and inspire younger generations to practise these values in everyday life.
