“What ever is printed becomes the part of history. The print Media is mother of all mediums.” said Mukhrat Abbas Naqvi, the former Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and senior Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Party while inaugurating the National seminar on print media at Marwah Studios organized by Asian School of Media Studies in Noida Film City.
“India is the only Country in the World where even after the invasion of other mediums like Radio, Television, Cinema and Internet the number of Newspapers and Magazines have grown along with the huge number of readership” said Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios-a group of creative enterprises.
Coming on the pros and cons of changing patterns of News paper and specially Page 3 some of the prominent speakers like Om Gupta Dean CMS, Arti Thapa editor Asia Spa, B.V.Rao Editor Government Now, Vinod Agnihotri Political Editor Nai Duniya, Jayita Bandopadhya Editor Life Style Magazine, Rana Sadhiqui from Hindu, Binny Yadav freelancer and Deepti Pant Cinema expert spoke and discussed their points of view.
Present on the occasion the renowned film maker and professor with University of Central Lancashire, associates of ASMS in UK, Chris Leonard also gave his view on the rise and fall of importance of Page 3 in England.
Later the Chief Guest Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi released the new journal ASIAN JOURNAL OF MASS MEDIA prepared by the students of Asian School of Media Studies, Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian Business School, Asian School of Graphics And Animation. The seminar was attended by many print media journalist and large media students from all over India and Abroad. Prof R.K.Singh Dean ASMS condensed the whole seminar and paid vote of Thanks.
