World Environment Day Celebrated At Marwah Studios
“It is very important to have a beautiful and healthy environment and that is only possible if you respect and love nature” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios during the conference at Noida Film City with the students of Films, television and media of Asian Business School, Asian Academy of Film And Television and Asian School of Media Studies.
The theme of this year is ‘Forests-Nature At Your Service’-cover one third of the earth’s land mass, performing vital functions and services around the world which make our planet alive with possibilities. In fact, 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their livelihoods. They play a key role in our battle against climate change, releasing oxygen into the atmosphere while storing carbon dioxide.
This year's global host is India which is a country of wide bio-diversity. World Environment Day (WED) is a day that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and public action. It falls on 5 June every year as decided by the United Nation.
