The Content Of The Film Matters- Malti Sahay At 70th Festival of AAFT




“The times have changed and cinema now can be seen in a digital format whether it on big screen, television, internet or mobile, it is the content- the story which matters and all starts from short films” said Malti Sahay the former Director, Directorate of Film Festival, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India on the inauguration of 70th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films at Film City Noida.

“It has become custom with us to celebrate festival of short films every three months. This is the best platform for short films to showcase to the film lovers” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and of the festival for the 70th time adding another feather in the cap of Marwah by creating International Record.

Some of the films shown in the 70th festival were WHAT?ERR directed by Prashant Mathawan, THE PROMESSA by Shubham Bhatnagar, AAKHRI CHORI by Mohd Shahid, HUM APKE HAIN KAUN ? by Rahul Verma, THE CURSE by Anup Kumar & H. Narwal, THE DREAM by Arnab Bhattacharya and WHOSOEVER UR, BE PURE directed by Gaurav Bhalla.

Others who spoke on the occasion were Sudhir Tandon President Osian Film Festival Pratap Chakerbarthy representative of AFP, Mukesh Ranjan of Asian Age and Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT and all were presented life membership of International Film And Television Club. Later Sandeep Marwah honored Lavleen Thadani the student of 9th batch of AAFT with Academy Award on the completion of 100 projects on visual media.
