Buenos Aires born Argentinean film maker Daiana Rosenfeld came visiting the ASC-UCLan campus armedwith her first documentary ‘El Polonio’ for a special screening for the combined classes of both film production and international journalism recently.
The documentary describes the story of Natalia who comes to recover at Cabo Polonio, a town west upwards Uraguay, which is known for its charismatic beauty and is supposed to be filled with an aura of peace. Natalia had undergone a series of personal losses and drowned herself into pills to overcome the fear of the panic attacks.
The film ended with an interactive session in which the students cornered her with queries ranging from characterization to camera angles and to leads which prompted her to take up this subject.
The screening was preceded by the address of Daiana, Spain’s Instituto Cervantes Cultural Manager Jesus Clavero , ASC-UCLan Head of School, R.K. Singh and ASC-UCLan Division head Nimrata Bagga paid vote of thanks.
