An organization of more than
3000 journalist based in Delhi under the oldest association called Press Club
of India honored Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Society of Film And
Television for his untiring contribution to media and social activities.
The Press Club of India is already a
half century old and is going great. It was formed way back in 1958 largely at
the initiative of a few editors in the capital of the country. It is a tribute
to their vision and their faith in fellow journalists that the old lady of
Raisina Road is still there and, what's more, doing well. But the unique
feature of the club is that it represents the entire country not cities as the
press clubs all over the globe do.
The
senior journalists and members of the management committee including Komal
Sharma, Vijay Shanker, Nadeem Kazmi and Sanjay Singh handed over PCI award to
Sandeep Marwah.
“I am pleased to be now part of the
family of journalism. The award has encouraged me to do more for the betterment
of my nation” said Sandeep Marwah enthusiastically.
