Noida: India and Fiji sharing best of the relation possible
from last so many years. 30 percent of Fiji population is originally from
India. The residents of Fiji are the real lovers of Indian Cinema. It is
important to develop and promote our relations with Fiji through art and
culture said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI at a well-attended function at
Marwah Studios on the launching of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum at film
City Noida.
“We are open for many avenues be it art, culture, cinema,
business, education, fashion or any other industry. We would like to invite Indian film makers to come and shoot films in Fiji. The government is ready to
give huge subsidy to film producer. Fiji is also very attractive for those who
are looking for tourism,” said H.E. Azreen Khan Charge De Affairs of High
Commission of Fiji in India introducing the opportunities in Fiji.
“We are planning for workshops, seminars, interaction
programs, a film festival of Fiji films and exhibition of paintings in the next
few months. International Chamber of
Media And Entertainment Industry has also planned to handover the
scholarship of AAFT to the deserving students from Fiji,” added Ashok Tyagi
Secretary General of ICMEI.
H.E. Azreen Khan honored and handed over a colorful certificate
of Chairmanship of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum to Sandeep Marwah. Marwah
also presented the certificate of patron ship to the Charge De Affairs as a
mark of respect.
We have already dealt with Fiji students and filmmakers
earlier. It is a pleasure to present scholarship to Her Excellency as the first
good will gesture of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum today
The session was followed by question answers with the media
students at Asian School of Media Studies. Her Excellency invited media students
to Fiji to be part of their studies and tourism at Fiji.
