Afghanistan Cultural Week Inaugurated at Marwah Studios |
Noida: International Chamber
of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with CD Foundation, Embassy
of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Embassy of India in Afghanistan announced
Afghani Food and Culture week in India. The grand launching to celebrate the
100 years of Independence of Afghanistan took place at Marwah Studios Film City
Noida.
“We all are here to create a
buff of India and Afghanistan friendship by starting this two week cultural
programs in India so that people of India can relate themselves with Afghani
culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. I congratulate
H.E. Tahir Qadiry and the people of Afghanistan on this occasion,” added
Marwah.
Seventeen member team
comprising of fashion designers, film makers, journalists, dancers, musicians,
painters etc. have started exhibiting their arts and products from Marwah
Studios.
“I extend my heartiest
congratulations and thanks to al the organizers and participants on this
beautiful and auspicious occasion of celebration of 100 years of celebration of
Independence of Afghanistan which falls on 23rd September,” said
H.E. Tahir Qadiry while lighting the ceremonial lamp to launch the two week
program at Marwah Studios.
“We are proud to be
associated with 100 years celebration of Afghanistan Independence. The two week
program will include food workshops, fashion shows, exhibitions, dance, music
opening event, closing event and grand finale
at Afghanistan Embassy, All this will happen in Delhi, Noida and Chandigarh,”
informed Charu Das of CD Foundation.
H.E. Tahir Qadiry honored
and presented Chairmanship of Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum to Dr. Sandeep
Marwah and greeted every member of delegation from Afghanistan.
Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented
Patronship of Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum to H.E. Tahir Qadiry and
membership of International Women’s Film Forum of Marwah Studios to all the
women present from Afghanistan.
The event was followed by a
colorful and vibrant fashion show designed by the AAFT School of Fashion and
design displaying dresses of Afghanistan designers brought for this occasion.
Director AAFT School of Fashion and Design Ritu Lal paid vote of thanks.
