We are totally enthusiastic about this forum and would love to present Patronship to H.E. Brendan Ward,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI while presenting Patronship to Ambassador.
“Who can be the best guide and mentor to this powerful association other than H.E. Brendan Ward. A man with the vision and deep knowledge about international affairs, a well-travelled and seasoned diplomat added Dr. Marwah.
“I accept this responsibility with great pleasure and honor. Together we can create a wonderful and a beautiful relationship between the two countries for all times to come,” said H.E. Brendan Ward accepting the memento.
Ambassador Brendan Ward is the product of Trinity College Dublin. He entered the Department of Foreign Affairs as a Third Secretary Headquarters (Political Division) on 13 May 1985, As Third Secretary he was posted to Embassy of Ireland Beijing. Headquarters (Economic Division) and then Third Secretary Embassy of Ireland Buenos Aires. As First Secretary he was handling EUMM Zagreb then posted as First Secretary Embassy of Ireland Cairo. He was First Secretary Headquarters (Political Division), & First Secretary OSCE Vienna and then First Secretary Headquarters (EU Division).
Brendan was appointed Counsellor Headquarters (Strategy & Performance Unit), then Counsellor OSCE Vienna. And again Counsellor Headquarters (Development Cooperation Directorate). He was made Counsellor, Headquarters (Political Division) before he was appointed by the President the Ambassador of Embassy of Ireland to Ankara. Now he is Ambassador Embassy of Ireland India and with additional charge of Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
