Noida: The 10th International Documentary Film Festival Noida 2022 was organized on 2nd September 2022 at Marwah Studios. 14 Directors were honoured for their best films during the award ceremony in various categories, which were Best Documentary, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Critic, and Special Jury Mention awards for different category. 59 films made by professional filmmakers and 49 films made by students were received for this documentary film festival of which 14 best films were presented with Certificates, awards and cash prizes at Marwah Studios.
The award ceremony was attended by the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts Dr. Sandeep Marwah; the country’s eminent film producer and President of the Film Federation of India TP Agarwal; Ambassador of Cuba H.E. Alexandro Simancas Marine; former Deputy Director General DD National and founder of Lok Sabha TV Sudhir Tandon and Art and Culture campaigner Dinesh Upadhyay.
“Over the years it has been seen that many challenges are being faced in the field of production and broadcasting of documentary films. Efforts should be made to promote this genre of films. I am glad that this has been compensated to some extent at the 10th International Documentary Film Festival, Noida. He said that this festival used to be a part of the Global Festival of Journalism but it has now been made an independent event, considering the exigencies of time and in the future, it will create new dimensions”. said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor, AAFT University of Media and Arts addressing the large audience.
T.P, Agarwal congratulated Marwah Studios for the 10th International Documentary Film Festival and extend his full support from Film Federation of India. Sudhir Tondon gave some wonderful ideas to promote these films. Ambassador Alexandro invited film makers to come to Cuba for their next venture. He also announced the festival of Indian Cinema in Cuba. Dinesh Upadhyay emphasised on Indian culture and powerful history of our nation.
On this grand occasion “Indo Cuba Film and Culture Forum” was launched and Sandeep Marwah was announced as the Chair for the same. Ambassador of Cuba H.E. Alexandro Simancas Marine accepted the patronship of the forum. Nine-minute film from the country of Cuba was also screened.
Sushil Bharti the Festival Director of 10th International Documentary Film Festival Noida, laid out the entire outline of the festival in a systematic manner to the audience present and thanked all the guests for their gracious presence.
