New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 118th Annual Session of PHDCCI in New Delhi, expressing confidence that India will become the world’s third-largest economy by 2027. He emphasized the need for increased investments in research and development for MSMEs.
Shah highlighted India’s progress, from being the 11th largest economy in 2014 to the current fifth-largest, crediting decisive policies and political stability under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He also mentioned key achievements like G20, Chandrayaan-3, Mission Aditya L-1, and the women’s reservation bill, fueling the nation’s momentum.
Shah praised India’s digital transformation and projected the country as a prime destination for students globally in the next decade. Talking to the press Sandeep Marwah, Chairperson for Media and Entertainment-AVGC Committee of PHD, emphasized showcasing India’s achievements on the global stage during the event. Marwah informed that Indian media and entertainment Industry is the 4th biggest industry in the World. Saket Dalmia, President PHD, Sanjeev Agarwal, Senior Vice President of PHD, and Hemant Jain, Vice President PHD , also spoke on the occasion.
