Noida, India: The 18th Global Film Festival Noida concluded on a spectacular note with a vibrant Closing Ceremony, reaffirming its stature as the biggest academic film festival in the world. The ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from cinema, media, music, fashion, and digital platforms, making it a fitting finale to three days of unparalleled cinematic and cultural celebration.
The closing ceremony was graced by Komal Nahata, veteran journalist and renowned trade analyst; Kashish Rajput, celebrated actress; Aman Srivastava, noted singer; Purnima, eminent anchor; Himadari Dave, renowned model; and Aishwariya Bisht, prominent fashion blogger and digital influencer, who collectively lauded the scale, vision, and global impact of the festival.

The festival recorded an extraordinary involvement of 90 countries, with participation from 130 film, television, media, art, and cultural organizations, and coverage by over 600 media houses from across the world. AAFT’s 16 colleges and AAFT University of Media Arts served as proud hosts, supported by 108 distinguished speakers from India and abroad.

The commemorative program celebrated the life, vision, and enduring legacy of one of India’s most respected statesmen and eminent poets.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Arts, recalled the unparalleled contribution of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the nation. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan, and to the people of Bhutan on the auspicious National Day of Bhutan, celebrated on 17th December.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah highlighted the deep-rooted and time-tested friendship between India and Bhutan, describing the relationship as one of mutual respect, trust, and cultural affinity. “India and Bhutan are not just neighboring nations but best friends who share strong cultural, educational, and people-to-people ties,” he said.
Dr. Marwah also appreciated the significant role played by the Indo Bhutan Film and Cultural Forum, which has been working commendably to strengthen cultural cooperation and promote creative exchanges between the two countries. Through films, festivals, education, and collaborative initiatives, the forum has contributed meaningfully to nurturing bilateral relations.
Emphasizing the contribution of education in shaping Bhutan’s creative landscape, Dr. Marwah noted that AAFT (Asian Academy of Film & Television) has trained many talented students from Bhutan in cinema and media disciplines. These trained professionals have gone on to play a pioneering role in establishing and strengthening the film industry in Bhutan.
He further added that it is a matter of pride that Dr. Sandeep Marwah serves as the Patron of the Bhutan Film Producers Association, reaffirming his continued commitment to supporting the growth of Bhutanese cinema and cultural initiatives on global platforms.

Noida, India: The 18th Global Film Festival Noida witnessed a moment of pride and celebration as the prestigious Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh was organized at Marwah Studios to honour distinguished personalities who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to the Hindi film industry. The ceremony paid tribute to creative excellence, leadership, and dedication that have shaped Hindi cinema as a global cultural force.
Renowned cine star and politician Jaya Prada, eminent producer Shabbir Boxwala, and acclaimed film director Umesh Shukla were presented with the Hindi Cinema Samman, acknowledging their remarkable journey and invaluable service to Indian cinema.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President of the Global Film Festival Noida, Founder of Marwah Studios, and member of the Executive Body of the Film Federation of India (FFI), said, “Hindi cinema is the soul of Indian storytelling and one of the strongest pillars of our cultural identity.
