ICMEI Congratulates Latvia on National Day; Announces Strengthening of Indo–Latvia Film & Cultural Forum

New Delhi, November 18, 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Juris Bone, Ambassador of Latvia to India, and to the people of Latvia on the joyous occasion of their National Day, celebrated annually on 18th November.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo–Latvia Film and Cultural Forum, conveyed his warm wishes and deep appreciation for the strong and friendly relations between India and Latvia. He acknowledged the growing cooperation between the two nations in culture, education, and creative industries, reaffirming ICMEI’s commitment to strengthening this bond.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah said,“India and Latvia share excellent relations rooted in mutual respect and cultural understanding. Through the Indo–Latvia Film and Cultural Forum, we have already initiated several meaningful collaborations. However, this is just the beginning. We are committed to expanding the Forum further by introducing more dynamic activities, cultural exchanges, film interactions, and academic partnerships. There is immense potential, and together, we will explore every opportunity to bring our nations even closer.”

ICMEI announced that the new phase of the Indo–Latvia Film and Cultural Forum will focus on: Enhanced film cooperation, including screenings and joint productions, Delegation exchanges between students and professionals, Cultural festivals highlighting Latvian and Indian art, music, and traditions, Academic tie-ups between institutions of both countries, Strengthening media and creative industry partnerships.

The Forum aims to serve as a vibrant platform celebrating cultural harmony and fostering long-term collaboration between India and Latvia.
