ICMEI Congratulates Nigeria on Their Independence Day

Noida, India: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extends heartfelt congratulations to Eucharia Ngozi Eze, ChargĂ© d’Affaires of Nigeria, and to the people of Nigeria on the occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on October 1st.

The Indo-Nigerian Film and Cultural Forum, established in New Delhi, has been a dedicated platform for fostering cultural relations between India and Nigeria. Both nations share a deep-rooted historical connection, and the Forum has worked tirelessly to strengthen this bond through the arts and cultural exchange.

Nigeria has actively participated in several ICMEI initiatives, including the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival, and Global Fashion Week, as well as numerous exhibitions, talks, and other year-round cultural events.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah’s visits to Nigeria as a state guest, along with ICMEI delegations, have elevated Indo-Nigerian relations to new heights. Over the past nineteen years, visits by Nigerian governors and other dignitaries have further enriched the cultural exchange. Additionally, more than a hundred Nigerian students have been trained in film and television at AAFT, and they are now contributing to creative industries across the globe.

ICMEI looks forward to continuing this vibrant partnership with Nigeria, enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation in the years to come.

ICMEI Bids Farewell to High Commissioner of Nigeria to India

New Delhi: In a poignant farewell ceremony held at High Commission of Nigeria, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the exemplary service and collaboration of His Excellency Ahmed Sule, the outgoing High Commissioner of Nigeria to India.

Reflecting on the remarkable nineteen-year partnership, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the Chair for Indo Nigeria Film and Cultural Forum, remarked, “We have been working together for now nineteen years, and the Indo Nigeria Film Association stands as a testament to our enduring collaboration. Every High Commissioner has graciously assumed the role of the patron, displaying deep interest and cooperation in the numerous activities conducted under this prestigious banner.”

The Indo Nigeria Film and Cultural Forum, initiated at Marwah Studios, has played a pivotal role in fostering cultural exchanges and collaborations between India and Nigeria. Dr. Marwah further highlighted the significant contributions made by the outgoing High Commissioner in strengthening the ties between the two nations.

“We have trained more than a hundred students from Nigeria in various disciplines of the film, television, and media industry. My two visits to Nigeria have solidified our relations to new heights, and the visits of numerous dignitaries to the ICMEI Global Headquarters have further contributed to the robust relations we share,” Dr. Marwah added.

As the event concluded, ICMEI extended its best wishes to His Excellency Ahmed Sule for a bright and prosperous life ahead. The organization expressed gratitude for his unwavering support and dedication in advancing the cause of cultural exchange and cooperation between India and Nigeria.

New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Ahmed Sule, High Commissioner of Niger, and the esteemed people of Nigeria on the auspicious occasion of Nigeria’s National Day, celebrated on 1st October every year.

The Indo Nigeria Film and Cultural Forum, with a legacy of two decades, has been instrumental in fostering and promoting relations between India and Nigeria. Over the years, ICMEI has organized numerous events, fostering cultural exchanges and strengthening the bond between the two nations.

Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the forum has made significant strides in enhancing cultural ties between India and Nigeria. New Delhi:  It is our great pleasure and honor to present the Patronship of Indo Nigerian Film and Cultural Association to H.E. Ahmed Sule High Commissioner of Federal Republic of Nigeria. This nineteen years old organisation has been actively working towards bringing the people of two countries close to each other through soft power,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Chair for Indo Nigeria Film and Cultural Association.

The association is one of the oldest setup designed to develop and promote relation between two countries through films, television, media, hospitality & tourism, fashion & design, fine arts, performing arts, education, skill development and large number of festivals, workshops, seminars, interactions, summits have been organised to fulfil the aims and objectives of the Organization.

“I am pleased to be part of this wonderful association and will support to my best to grow together,” said H.E. Abdul Sule High Commissioner of Nigeria accepting the Patronship of Indo Nigerian Film and Cultural Association.

This selfless service deserves an appreciation,” said Ahmed Sule High Commissioner of Federal republic of Nigeria in a small ceremony at High Commission of Nigeria while handing over memento to Marwah.

“I still remember it was in October 2002 when Indo Nigerian Film Association was formed at Marwah Studios by the Government officials from Nigeria during their visit to India. There is no looking back, and we have been continuous putting our efforts to build a strong relation with the country through different genres of arts and culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Nigerian Film and Cultural Forum.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has been partners in every event designed by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry including Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival and all the International Summits on different subjects.
