ICMEI Congratulates Nigeria on Their Independence Day

ICMEI Congratulates Nigeria on Their Independence Day

Noida, India: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extends heartfelt congratulations to Eucharia Ngozi Eze, Chargé d’Affaires of Nigeria, and to the people of Nigeria on the occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on October 1st.

The Indo-Nigerian Film and Cultural Forum, established in New Delhi, has been a dedicated platform for fostering cultural relations between India and Nigeria. Both nations share a deep-rooted historical connection, and the Forum has worked tirelessly to strengthen this bond through the arts and cultural exchange.

Nigeria has actively participated in several ICMEI initiatives, including the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival, and Global Fashion Week, as well as numerous exhibitions, talks, and other year-round cultural events.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah’s visits to Nigeria as a state guest, along with ICMEI delegations, have elevated Indo-Nigerian relations to new heights. Over the past nineteen years, visits by Nigerian governors and other dignitaries have further enriched the cultural exchange. Additionally, more than a hundred Nigerian students have been trained in film and television at AAFT, and they are now contributing to creative industries across the globe.

ICMEI looks forward to continuing this vibrant partnership with Nigeria, enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation in the years to come.
