New Delhi: Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) proudly partnered with the International Film Festival of Delhi, marking a significant milestone in the growth of cinematic culture in North India.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, and AAFT University, expressed his appreciation for the initiative. He stated that after 19 successful years of the Global Film Festival Noida, it is encouraging to see the Delhi Government launching another major film festival for North India. He emphasized that such festivals serve as powerful platforms promoting love, peace, and unity through the medium of cinema.
He further added that the first International Film Festival of Delhi has already infused immense enthusiasm, excitement, and energy into the region. “The scale, grandeur, and stature of the festival have elevated cinema to new heights,” he said, congratulating Rekha Gupta, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, and Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister for Art, Culture & Language, and Tourism, for their visionary leadership and commitment to establishing the festival successfully in its very first edition.
AAFT played an active role throughout the festival from 25th to 31st March, with the dedicated involvement of more than 200 students who supported the administration and managed day-to-day operations. Their contribution and professionalism were widely appreciated by industry leaders including Sabbas Joseph of Whizcraft and Suneel Anchipaka, Managing Director and CEO of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DT&TDC).
