New Delhi: A significant dialogue on advancing Africa–India economic partnership through trade, investment, and sustainable growth was held at the Embassy of Ethiopia in the esteemed presence of leading dignitaries and policymakers committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation between India and African nations.
The distinguished gathering was attended by Nirmal Kumar Minda, President of ASSOCHAM; Ambassador Molalign Asfaw Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Ethiopia; and Ambassador Sudhakar Dalela, Secretary Economic Relations Government of India who shared valuable insights on expanding economic collaboration, promoting investments, and building sustainable partnerships between India and Africa.
The discussions focused on enhancing trade relations, encouraging entrepreneurship, facilitating cultural exchange, and identifying new sectors for mutual cooperation and development. The event served as an important platform for policymakers, diplomats, and business leaders to explore innovative opportunities for long-term strategic engagement.
Talking to the press, Sandeep Marwah, President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), who is also representing several African countries in India as Cultural Ambassador, emphasized the growing importance of India–Africa relations. He said, “India and Africa share deep historical, cultural, and economic ties. Strengthening cooperation through trade, investment, education, media, and culture will create new opportunities for sustainable growth and prosperity for both regions. Such engagements further reinforce our commitment to a stronger and more progressive partnership.”
The meeting concluded on a positive note with renewed commitment from all stakeholders toward deepening bilateral relations and expanding collaborative initiatives between India and African nations across multiple sectors.
