Two Days Malhar Festival At Ajmer
The setting was perfect. As the rains drenched Ajmer, art and culture enthusiasts soaked in the spirit of the monsoon through 2 days art and music Malhaar Festival, a concept by Dr Sudeep Rai and Gulsha Begum organized by Divine Abodes Al Ikhlas Gallery at Ajmer.
“This is a perfect setting for Monsoon in Ajmer. The paintings are extraordinary and communicating appreciation at the efforts of the artist and the organizer for bringing such a beautiful concept of Malhaar in Ajmer” said Dr Brijesh Mathur Chief of Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital while inaugurating the exhibition.
.Michael Templin, from Germany showcased his collection. Michael says the invitation itself leaving a mystical impression. The fog and cloud make a secretly element. Dr Sudeep Rai in his paintings have defined a perfect mystical mountain.
“I must appreciate the initiative Divine Abodes has taken in promoting art at Ajmer” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios who himself is an art lover.
Gulshaa Begums art draws its spirit from the classical raga Malhaar theme With the splash of rain, colors and musical hues. Jitendra Patniwals portrait of surdas, meera bai and tansen is a representation of the medieval singers who are said to have been capable of invoking rains using various kinds of Raga Malhaar. Archana Tela represented the theme of monsoon colors in her paintings.
The second day of the festival saw the musical recital by Dr. Sudeep Rai disciple of Pandit Debu Chaudhari accompanied by Amjad Khan on Tabla.
