100 Years Of Cinema Celebration At PHDCCI
The Entertainment and Media committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce in association with Directorate of Film festival, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Marwah Studios-a creative enterprises, planned a celebration of 100 years of Cinema at PHD House at New Delhi on Saturday the 25th August, 2012.
“The objective is to showcase and connect to the youth & responsible citizens of 21st century India, with some movies of excellence in the last 100 years of cinema in India” said Sandeep Somany President of PHDCCI.
“India is the largest film producing country in the World and the film fraternity is excited to celebrate 100 years of the biggest brother of mass communication with lot of pride and glory. Indian cinema has come a long way since the first film Raja Harishchandra by Dadasaheb Phalke spewed magic in 1913” added Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Entertainment and Media Committee of PHDCCI.

“Film is a dynamic media with an access to reach out to the masses. Besides, it has the potential to entertain, educate, influence and motivate its viewers” stated Sushma Shekher Secretary General of PHDCCI.
“To mark the commemoration of the centenary, a few exclusive national award winning films have been selected for the screenings. which would be entertaining, enriching and inspiring to the target audience” said Yogesh Srivastava Secretary E&m Committee.
