Noida: A week long Mahautsav to promote and propagate Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao program was launched by Dr. Mahesh Sharma Minister for
Culture and Tourism, Government of India in a grand function at Marwah Studios,
Film City Noida.
“Half of the Indian population is Women that means one twelfth
of the world’s women stays in India. We cannot afford to ignore them any
more. It all starts with women
education, women empowerment, women liberation and goes up to the women
achievers,” said Sandeep Marwah initiating the national program Beti Bachao
Beti Padhao from Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.
“We will leave no stone unturned to bring back the dignity
to the women of this nation. We have always given due respect and position to
our women. Right from Jhansi Ki Rani to Pratibha Patil former President of
India” added Nirmal Vaid declaring Sandeep Marwah as the Brand Ambassador of
Prime Minister’s Program Save The Girl Child- Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
“I am honored to be associated with the Beti Mahautsav
comprising of blood test, raksha bandhan, women award function, painting
competition and exhibition and so many other programs to create awareness of
the importance of women in our life. No society can grow unless there is
respect for women. We have believed in it for centuries and we will maintain
our culture to the highest level” said Dr. Mahesh Sharma Minister for Culture
and Tourism, Government of India.
The event started with painting competition by more than 100
artists with a large gathering to support the national show. Dr. Mahesh Sharma
also painted the canvas to encourage and motivate artist from all over India.
