International Journalism Centre Honors Photo Journalists |
Noida Film City: International Journalism Centre in
association with News Paper Association of India and International Chamber of
Media And Entertainment Industry presented National Achievers Award for Photo
Journalism at a grand function at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.
International Journalism Centre is dedicated to the
promotion of journalists and good journalism. After an award function for good
journalism and media workshop last month;
we decided to honor all those journalists who have done well in photo
journalism,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.
“Photographs are the ever lasting memories. One picture is
equal to thousand words. Every picture leaves a powerful impact on the reader
and viewer. The job of the photo Journalist is not only difficult but
complicated too” added Marwah also president of ICMEI.
“News Paper Association of India will leave no stone
unturned to high light the members of the press who all have done extraordinary
in their field. This award function is one of the programs we have designed,”
said Vipin Gaur General Secretary NAI.
“Photography is an art. One picture can sensitize you; it
can make you emotional and can provoke too. Every journalist has to keep in
mind the effect of every picture printed or shown to public,” added senior
photographer O.P. Sharma while receiving his lifetime achievement Award.
Rajinder Wadhwa, Sham Paandey and Rajesh Badal were also
honored with highest Photography award. Sandeep Marwah, the Global Cultural
Minister, presented National Achievers Award to 35 photographers from 11 states
of India and Nepal.
Later Sandeep Marwah was also declared as an ‘International
Media Guru’ for his untiring contribution to Print, Radio, Television, Cinema,
New Media, Events, Media Education and journalism.

Sushil Bharti Broadcasting Head Radio Noida & MSTV, Dr. Vijay Kapoor HOD Journalism
ASMS and Arun Anand HOD Photography AAFT
Conducted the workshop for the professional photojournalists from all over
India and media students at Marwah Studios.
