Global Co-operation House is the London home of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, serving as its national co-ordinating office. The house has become a familiar landmark in the area, offering a place of calm in a hectic world. The house quickly became a focal point of the international Brahma Kumaris community and has attracted visitors from most of the 110 countries where we have activities, making it truly a house of global co-operation informed Sister Jeminy.
The Brahma Kumaris are a spiritual movement that originated in India during the 1930s. The Brahma Kumaris movement was founded by Shri Lekhraj Kripalani . The organisation is known for the prominent role that women play in the movement.
It teaches a form of meditation that focuses on identity as souls, as opposed to bodies. They believe that all souls are intrinsically good and that God is the source of all goodness. The organisation teaches to transcend labels associated with the body, such as race, nationality, religion, and gender, and it aspires to establish a global culture based on what it calls “soul-consciousness".
