NEW DELHI: A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today between the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI). This strategic partnership aims to strengthen bilateral ties through the promotion of mutual respect and understanding in art and culture.
The MOU outlines a broad spectrum of collaborative fields, including films, television, media, culture, hospitality, tourism, fashion, design, education and training, environment, skill development, performing and fine arts. It underlines the importance of mutual cultural respect as a critical cornerstone in fostering relationships.
This collaborative initiative will facilitate an enriching exchange of ideas and practices through workshops, seminars, and interaction programs. These activities, which include music and dance recitals, will offer immersive experiences to appreciate and understand the rich cultural fabric of both nations.
A noteworthy feature of the MOU is the AAFT’s commitment to provide a scholarship for a deserving student from Kyrgyzstan for a short-term course. This presents an exceptional opportunity to nurture talent and further cultural exchange.
H.E. Askar Beshimov the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, expressed delight at this partnership, acknowledging its potential to forge stronger ties. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, echoed similar sentiments, praising the MOU as a crucial step towards promoting global unity through cultural understanding.
