Noida: The 16th Global Film Festival Noida, held at Marwah Studios, witnessed a spectacular musical extravaganza organized by the AAFT School of Performing Arts, featuring trained music students and popular singer Sameer Khan Niazi.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah festival President GFFN, in his inaugural address, emphasized the profound impact of music on the soul, declaring, “If music is not a part of your life, it is incomplete, as it gives us a sense of living.” The musical program unfolded as a vibrant celebration of the universal language that unites people across cultures.

H.E. Elchin Husenli designated Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India shared his gratitude to Indian Cinema, describing cinema and culture as mirrors reflecting every aspect of life. He expressed appreciation for Indian cinema’s role in showcasing the rich tapestry of Indian culture to the people of Azerbaijan.

Richa Mehta, a Model & Actor attending the festival, shared her delightful experience, describing it as wonderful and worth remembering. Renowned Singer Mr. Sameer Khan Niazi highlighted the timeless nature of art and music, emphasizing that it knows no age boundaries. He underlined the importance of honoring and respecting music as the heartbeat of culture, echoing the rhythm and soul of a society.

Noida: The inaugural day of the 16th Global Film Festival at Marwah Studios witnessed an enchanting celebration of cinema, bringing together film delegates, students, and enthusiasts from across the globe. Sushil Bharti, the Director of Broadcasting at Marwah Studios, set the tone for the event by highlighting the profound impact of cinema on societal intricacies. He underscored the crucial role of Film Festivals in the life of a filmmaker, emphasizing their significance as platforms for artistic expression.

Among the distinguished guests was Mohski Mohammed Raza from the Embassy of Iran, who expressed his delight at participating in the festival. Drawing from personal experiences, Raza commended the cinematography of the director of the feature film “The Girl Squad,” which artfully delves into the struggles faced by Iranian citizens during the wars of the 60s and 70s.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the President of the festival, shed light on the enduring relationship between India and Iran. He also highlighted the longstanding collaboration between ICMEI and the Indo Iran Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the Embassy of Iran.

The film screening captivated the audience with its compelling narratives and intense war visuals, showcasing exceptional casting and skilled performances that effectively portrayed the struggles of ordinary Iranian citizens impacted by war. The storyline prominently featured the active involvement of Iranian women working in wartime conditions to protect their fellow citizens. The film conveyed a powerful message, asserting that war is never a viable solution and leads only to widespread destruction.

In recognition of its cinematic excellence, Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the prestigious Award of Distinction to “The Girl Squad.” The award was graciously collected by Mohski Mohammed Raza, who also received a memento commemorating the festival.

NOIDA, 7th Dec.2023 – In a momentous celebration of cinematic excellence and cultural diplomacy, 16th Global Film Festival Noida proudly presented the Award of Distinction to the distinguished film “The Inner Glow.” The accolade was conferred by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of the Global Film Festival, in the presence of a captivated audience comprising filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and students from across India and around the globe.

The event, held at Marwah Studios, showcased the vibrancy and diversity of Venezuelan cinema, with “The Inner Glow” standing out as one of the three films selected for special recognition as part of the Focus Country Venezuela segment. Her Excellency Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez, the esteemed Ambassador of Venezuela to India, graciously accepted the Award of Distinction on behalf of the talented filmmakers behind “The Inner Glow.”

The Indo Venezuela Film and Cultural Forum (IVFCF), established in 2016 under the aegis of ICMEI, has been instrumental in fostering meaningful cultural exchange between India and Venezuela. Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his satisfaction at the collaborative efforts, stating, “IVFCF has been our steadfast partner in all Global Film Festivals, and we are proud to witness the success and recognition that Venezuelan cinema has garnered on this prestigious platform.”

Ambassador Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez conveyed her gratitude to the Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) for designating Venezuela as the Focus Country. She expressed confidence in the power of cinema to facilitate cultural exchange and strengthen bilateral relations between Venezuela and India.

“The Inner Glow” and the other Venezuelan films showcased during the festival were lauded for their cinematic excellence, and Ambassador Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez predicted that these films would play a pivotal role in fostering cultural ties and enhancing relations between the two nations.
