Ghaziabad: The 8th edition of “Kahin Gum Na Ho Jaye”, a nationally admired initiative dedicated to preserving India’s rich traditions and cultural legacy through food and cuisine, was ceremoniously inaugurated by Sandeep Marwah at Radisson Blu Kaushambi. The program was graced by the presence of Sanjeev Kapoor, one of India’s most celebrated names in the hospitality industry.
Conceptualized by the late Babita Saxena, Kahin Gum Na Ho Jaye has evolved into a powerful cultural movement, using India’s diverse cuisines as a medium to safeguard age-old traditions. The legacy is being passionately carried forward by Col. Atul Saxena, who has curated the event into a grand national food festival.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah highlighted his long-standing association with the initiative since its very first edition. He emphasized that AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism has been a proud partner of the program, supporting its mission to blend education, culture, and culinary excellence. Dr. Marwah applauded the visionary thinking of late Babita Saxena and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Col. Atul Saxena for successfully nurturing and expanding the initiative, which has now earned widespread appreciation across the country.
Col. Atul Saxena shared insights into the overwhelming response received this year, with a large number of entries pouring in from across India. He noted that the program has grown far beyond a competition, taking the shape of a vibrant national food festival that celebrates India’s culinary diversity and cultural unity.
Padma Shri Sanjeev Kapoor, while addressing the audience, praised the concept for honoring India’s culinary roots and encouraging excellence among professionals and enthusiasts alike. He underlined the importance of preserving traditional cuisines in an era of rapid modernization.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to Dr Sandeep Marwah and Sanjeev Kapoor and the winners, recognizing outstanding contributions and talent, and reaffirming Kahin Gum Na Ho Jaye as a unique platform that keeps India’s cultural and culinary heritage alive for future generations.
