Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum Launches Korean Language Centre at AAFT

Noida, India – June 21, 2024 – The Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum proudly inaugurated a Korean Language Centre at the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), marking a significant step towards enhancing cultural and linguistic ties between India and South Korea. The launch event was graced by notable experts from South Korea, including Michelle, Danish, and the renowned actor Moon.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum, welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the forum’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. He emphasized the importance of learning new languages in today’s globalized world, stating, “The Korean Language Centre at AAFT is a testament to our dedication to broadening horizons and providing our students with the skills necessary to thrive in a multicultural environment.”

Michelle, one of the experts from South Korea, spoke about the increasing opportunities in Korea for those proficient in the Korean language. “There are numerous job prospects in South Korea for individuals who can speak Korean. This new language centre will equip students with the linguistic skills required to tap into these opportunities,” she said.

Danish, who played a pivotal role in initiating the project, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration. “The establishment of the Korean Language Centre is a dream come true. It will not only teach the language but also serve as a bridge connecting the cultures of India and South Korea,” he remarked.

Renowned actor Moon supported the initiative, sharing his views on the cultural benefits of learning a new language. “Understanding a language goes beyond mere communication. It is about embracing a new culture, understanding different perspectives, and fostering international friendships,” he stated.

The event was also supported by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), reflecting a unified effort to promote cultural exchange and educational excellence. The Korean Language Centre aims to offer comprehensive language courses that cater to various proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced learners.

Dr. Marwah concluded the event by reiterating the Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum’s mission to enhance cultural ties and provide students with valuable learning opportunities. “The Korean Language Centre is a significant addition to AAFT’s diverse educational offerings. We are confident that this initiative will open new doors for our students and strengthen the bond between India and South Korea,” he said.

The launch of the Korean Language Centre at AAFT is expected to pave the way for further collaborative efforts in education and culture, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Korean language and culture among Indian students.

Indo South Korean Cultural Forum Hosts Inspiring Event at AAFT

Noida: The Indo South Korean Film and Cultural Forum, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, recently orchestrated an exceptional event featuring a captivating mind lecture and motivational workshop, led by a distinguished team from South Korea. The event took place at AAFT School of Fashion & Design and was made possible through a fruitful collaboration with the International Youth Federation (IYF), showcasing enlightening talks and engaging performances.

The distinguished guests from South Korea included Prof. Paul Song Museong, Dr. Moon Min Yong, and Ms. Moon Somang, accompanied by their IYF-International Youth Federation coordinators. The delegation received a warm welcome by Ms. Namita and Interpreter Ms. Merilyn. The audience was comprised of esteemed faculty members and enthusiastic students from the School of Fashion & Design.

The event commenced with an exhilarating musical performance by the talented IYF Band “Incredible,” setting a vibrant tone for the proceedings. Following this, the audience was enraptured by a mesmerizing cello performance by the exceptionally skilled Ms. Moon Somang. The highlight of the event was the profound Mind Lecture delivered by Dr. Moon Min Young, leaving an indelible mark on all in attendance.

In a gesture of deep appreciation and honor, Dr. Manoj Agarwal extended gratitude through a heartfelt vote of thanks and presented the dignitaries with an esteemed Life Membership of the International Film and Television Club. A group photograph served as a memento, marking this memorable occasion, after which everyone partook in a delightful refreshment session.

The event concluded on a delightful note, coinciding with the celebration of Teachers’ Day. Flowers and chocolates were distributed among the faculty members, symbolizing profound respect and gratitude for their unwavering dedication and hard work.

Ambassador H.E. Choe Hui Chol Visited ICMEI at Noida Film City

Noida: “It is a great pleasure to receive H.E. Choe Hui Chol Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea at the International Head Quarters of ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry at Noida Film City to brief him about the activities of the Chamber.

“We are very keen in building cultural relations with India. We want that two nations should come forward and cooperate in building people to people interaction. Art and culture is the best way to break the ice,” said H.E. Choe Hui Chol Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

“We are open to launch Indo Korea Film and Cultural Forum and soon some activities can be begun to invite some artists from Korea. We invite you to participate in forthcoming Global Film Festival Noida 2022 to showcase your film,” suggested Sandeep Marwah during the meeting.

Ambassador took the round of the facilities available at Marwah Studios and appreciated the deep involvement of Chamber in promoting international relations with so many countries at the same time.

ICMEI Celebrated 17th July as South Korean Constitution Day


Indo Korea Film And Cultural Forum Celebrated National Day


New Delhi: Constitution Day in South Korea is observed on 17 July, the day that the South Korean constitution was proclaimed in 1948. The date was deliberately chosen to match the founding date of 17 July of the Joseon dynasty.

 “I on behalf of ICMEI and complete Indian Media And Entertainment Industry of India extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. SHIN Bongkil Ambassador of Republic of Korea to India and the people of South Korea on this very important constitution day which falls on 17th July. May Republic of  India and  Republic of Korea be the best of friends for ever,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Chair for Indo South Korea Film And Cultural Forum.

The two visits of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to South Korea on the invitation of International Youth Fellowship added a lot to the relation between two countries. First it was Seoul and second time it was Busan where Dr. Marwah met many people associated with films, television, media, education, art & Culture. Dr. Marwah is now an International advisor to IYA with office in 90 countries of the World.

New Delhi: The exhibition "100th Anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement: One Shiny Day", commemorating the spirit of the March 1st Movement - pioneering display of anti-colonial sentiment against its coloniser Japan -  opened at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) on August 14 and will continue till September 29

A follower of Mahatma Gandhi, Pyoung says, “The idea of exchange exhibitions came to my mind when I saw Dandi Yatra exhibition at NGMA. Korea and India have a similar history,”
Gyeyoung Lee of Daegu of Art Museum, Gyeyoung, has curated the exhibition. Talking about the show, Lee says, “The exhibition consists of three elements — Memory, Record and Commemoration. These artworks depict all kinds of struggles without any discrimination of class, caste, creed or religion.”
“Korean art is popular all over the World. The exhibition has brought deep relation between two countries on the surface. Many more events can be planned to highlight our relations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University and Chair for Indo Korean Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

Director of Modern Art Gallery Sculptor Adwaita Gadanayak, Director of Lalit Kala Academy Uttam Pacharne, renowned Indian artists were part of the grand inauguration function.

War Welcome of Sandeep Marwah at Seoul-South Korea


Seoul: A well known international media personality and five times World Record holder Sandeep Marwah was given a very warm welcome on his arrival at Seoul, South Korea where he is representing India in a   World Cultural Camp organized by International Youth Fellowship.

IYF was established as a worldwide youth organization and international NGO based on develop mindset in 2001, to raise leaders with a global insight through youth education, activities, and provide realistic solutions to problems in the global village. To train youths to have strong hearts through leadership training

“The main purpose of World Youth Camp is to inspire the youth and provide opportunities to develop a challenging spirit, self-discipline, and critical thinking,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and AAFT University. Sandeep Marwah will stay in Seoul and Busan for one week.
