| Dr Sandeep Marwah Honoured and Nominated as Patron of Film and TV Producers Welfare Association at Film Expo India |
New Delhi: Dr Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of Noida Film City, was honoured and nominated as Patron of the Film and TV Producers Welfare Association (FTPA) during the recently concluded Film Expo India 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The honour was presented in recognition of Dr Marwah’s outstanding contribution to the Indian media and entertainment industry and his continued efforts towards the welfare, growth and professional development of filmmakers, producers and creative professionals.
The occasion was attended by prominent members and office bearers of the Film and TV Producers Welfare Association, including Ashok Rawal, Chaman Gupta, Satish Pandey, Kailash Bhutani, Vishal Sethi and Pradeep Damaniya.
Speaking on the occasion, Vishal Sethi appreciated Dr Sandeep Marwah’s immense contribution to the film, television and media industry and said that his experience, vision and global outreach would provide valuable guidance to the association. He expressed confidence that Dr Marwah’s association as Patron would further strengthen the FTPA and its initiatives for the welfare of producers and other professionals associated with the entertainment industry.
Accepting the honour, Dr Sandeep Marwah said, “I am deeply honoured to be nominated as Patron of the Film and TV Producers Welfare Association. The producers and creative professionals are the backbone of the media and entertainment industry. It is important that we work collectively to create a stronger, more organised and supportive ecosystem for them. I will be happy to contribute my experience and international connections towards the growth and welfare of the fraternity.”
Dr Marwah further emphasised the need for greater collaboration between producers, filmmakers, television professionals, educational institutions, technology companies and international organisations to create new opportunities for the Indian entertainment industry.
The Film Expo India 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam, brought together leading stakeholders from the film and media sector, including filmmakers, producers, distributors, educators, OTT platforms, technology companies and creative professionals. The participation of AAFT as Education Partner further strengthened the academic and industry connect at the expo.
The nomination of Dr Sandeep Marwah as Patron of FTPA marks another significant recognition of his longstanding contribution to the development of the Indian film, television, media and entertainment ecosystem.
