New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of ICMEI–BRICS and President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his heartiest congratulations to the people of India on the grand opening of the 18th BRICS Summit 2026, hosted by India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Describing the occasion as a proud moment for the nation, Dr. Marwah expressed confidence that the summit would provide an important platform for constructive dialogue among world leaders and contribute towards stronger international cooperation, economic progress, cultural understanding and global peace.
“Heartiest congratulations to every citizen of India, the proud host nation of the 18th BRICS Summit 2026, on its grand opening and the successful commencement of meaningful discussions with world leaders. May this historic summit further strengthen global cooperation, mutual understanding, sustainable development and lasting peace. It is indeed a proud moment for India,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
Dr. Marwah emphasized that BRICS has emerged as an influential platform for strengthening dialogue and cooperation among participating nations. He highlighted the importance of media, entertainment, art and culture as powerful instruments of international diplomacy and people-to-people relations.
As Chair of ICMEI–BRICS, Dr. Marwah reaffirmed ICMEI’s commitment to promoting stronger cultural and creative links among BRICS nations through cinema, television, media, education, art, literature, fashion, tourism and other creative disciplines.
He expressed hope that the 18th BRICS Summit would generate new ideas, partnerships and initiatives contributing to a more cooperative, peaceful and prosperous world. Participating countries are Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia , South Africa, and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
