National Day of Wales Celebrated at New Delhi


“Saint David's Day is the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and falls on 1 March each year. Tradition holds that he died on that day in 569. The date was declared a national day of celebration within Wales in the 18th century” said H.E. Julian Evans Acting High Commissioner to India, British High Commission at a grand get-together on the occasion at New Delhi.

“We have brought lots of affection from Wales for the Indians and want to build a better and powerful relationship between India and Wales” added Tony Goddfrey of Business Development Inward Investment, Welsh Government.”Ample opportunities are available at Wales for Indians to come forward and invest” said Steve Davies of International Links European and External Affairs Division, Government of Wales.

“We have been developing the cordial relations between two countries since 2007, Indo Wales Creative Forum is doing its job silently” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios & Cultural Ambassador of Wales in India.


Avik Kumar Debnath Senior Business Development Manager Welsh Government, British High Commission, Asiya Ashraff Country Manager India Welsh Government, Anusheel Basudev Secretary General IWCF, Puneet Jindal of Asian Education Group were also present there.
