61st National Film Awards at Vigyan Bhawan


“India is the largest film producing country in the World, we would love to remain on the top and must improve on the quality and also shift to meaningful cinema. I congratulate jury for selecting best out of the lot to honor them today” said H.E. Pranab Mukerjee the honorable President of India at a glittering function on the occasion of 61st National Film Awards at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

“We are pleased to say that Indian Film Industry is flourishing” said Manish Tewari Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. Bimal Julka Secretary Ministry of Information And Broadcasting, Manju Bohra Chairman of the Jury for Feature film, Ashoke Viswanathan Chairman for jury for non feature film & Sharad Dutt Chairperson for Writing for Cinema, Ravi Kottarakara President of FFI- Film Federation of India and Shanker Mohan Director of DFF- Directorate of Film Festival were also present there.


“There were 169 films in non feature film category and 310 films in feature film category which were screened by the jury to come to the conclusion of different awards” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film And television also the member of the jury for 61st National Film Awards.
