ICMEI President Sandeep Marwah Congratulates Somalia on Independence Day |
New Delhi, 1st July 2024: Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Ahmed Ali Dahir, Ambassador of Somalia, and the people of Somalia on the occasion of their Independence Day.
In a message of goodwill, Mr. Marwah acknowledged the historical significance of this day for the Somali people, marking 64 years since Somalia gained independence from colonial rule on 1st July 1960. He praised the resilience, unity, and determination of the Somali people in their ongoing journey towards peace and development.

He further emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation between India and Somalia, highlighting the role of media and entertainment in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening bilateral relations. Mr. Marwah expressed his commitment to enhancing collaboration between the two countries through various initiatives and programs spearheaded by ICMEI.
