New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), attended the dynamic 2nd Energy Summit organized by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) at The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi. The summit, known for its comprehensive discussions on energy and sustainability, was a significant gathering of industry leaders, policymakers, and experts from both India and the United States.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who has long served as the Chair for the Media and Entertainment Committee of IACC, expressed his enthusiasm for the summit, which was inaugurated by several key figures, including Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, and Carrie Antal, Deputy Director of the Indo-Pacific Office at USAID. Also present at the inauguration were Upendra Tripathy, IAS (Retd.), Former Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, and Founding Director-General of the International Solar Alliance.
The summit featured insightful speeches and discussions by notable industry leaders such as Amit Kapur, Joint Managing Partner at J. Sagar Associates, Dr. Lalit Bhasin, Immediate Past National President of IACC, and Arun Karna, Regional President of IACC-NIC and Managing Director & CEO of AT&T Global Network Services India Pvt. Ltd. Sunil Jain, Chairman of the Energy Committee at IACC, served as the Summit Chairman, steering the discussions toward actionable strategies for energy conservation and sustainability.
In a conversation with the press, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who has been deeply involved in environmental issues and climate change advocacy, emphasized the critical importance of energy conservation. “Energy saved is energy generated,” he stated, highlighting the need for innovative approaches to energy efficiency as a vital component of global sustainability efforts.
