Dr. Sandeep Marwah Presents Painting to Ambassador of Timor-Leste as a New Year Gesture of Cultural Friendship

New Delhi: In a warm gesture symbolizing friendship, culture, and artistic exchange, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Founder of AAFT, presented a specially created painting to His Excellency Mr. Karlito Nunes, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to India, at the Embassy of Timor-Leste in New Delhi. The painting was presented on behalf of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the AAFT School of Fine Arts under the banner of the Indo Timor-Leste Film and Cultural Forum.

The artwork, created by a talented student of the AAFT School of Fine Arts, reflects the richness, depth, and timeless spirit of Indian art and culture. The presentation marked the New Year celebrations and stood as a meaningful symbol of creative diplomacy and people-to-people connection between India and Timor-Leste.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “This New Year gift is a piece of art for all-time remembrance from India. Indian art and culture have always been powerful mediums of expression, harmony, and unity. Through this painting, we convey our respect, friendship, and commitment to strengthening cultural ties between India and Timor-Leste.”

His Excellency Ambassador Karlito Nunes appreciated the thoughtful gesture and acknowledged the role of art and culture in building strong international relationships. He praised the creativity of the young artist and the continuous efforts of ICMEI and AAFT in promoting cultural exchange through education, art, cinema, and media.

The Indo Timor-Leste Film and Cultural Forum, under the aegis of ICMEI, continues to work actively towards enhancing bilateral relations through collaborative cultural, educational, and artistic initiatives, fostering goodwill and mutual understanding between the two nations.

The event once again highlighted AAFT’s commitment to nurturing young creative talent and using art as a bridge to connect nations beyond borders.
