| AAFT Alumnus Harkirat Singh Lall Expresses Gratitude to His Alma Mater at 19th Global Film Festival Noida |
Noida Film City: Renowned film and television editor and AI expert Harkirat Singh Lall, an alumnus of the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his alma mater during the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida.
Having established himself in the film and television industry, Harkirat Singh Lall has worked on several notable national and international projects, demonstrating his professional expertise and commitment to evolving filmmaking technologies.
Speaking on the occasion, Harkirat Singh Lall said, “I am a product of this institution, and I can never forget that my foundation in cinema and editing began here at AAFT. The knowledge, training, and exposure I received played an important role in shaping my professional journey. Learning is a continuous process, and one must keep upgrading one’s skills because there is no end to education, particularly in an industry that keeps evolving with technology.”
He also emphasised the growing importance of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in filmmaking, encouraging students to remain curious, adaptable, and committed to excellence.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of AAFT, appreciated Harkirat Singh Lall’s achievements and his acknowledgement of the institution’s contribution to his career. He said that the true success of an educational institution lies in the accomplishments of its alumni and their continued connection with their alma mater.
Recognising his professional journey and association with AAFT, Harkirat Singh Lall was presented with a Festival Memento and Life Membership of the International Film and Television Club (IFTC) of AAFT by H.E. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior, High Commissioner of Mozambique, in the presence of distinguished guests and festival participants.
The occasion celebrated the enduring bond between AAFT and its alumni.
