New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended its warmest congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Moldova on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, celebrated on 27th August.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Mrs. Dana Paiu, ChargĂ© d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in India, and to the people of Moldova on this significant national occasion.

“On behalf of ICMEI and the entire fraternity of art, culture, media and entertainment, I extend my warmest congratulations to Mrs. Dana Paiu and the people of Moldova on their Independence Day. May this important occasion bring greater prosperity, peace and happiness to the people of Moldova and further strengthen the bonds of friendship between India and Moldova,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Dr. Marwah emphasized the immense potential of art and culture as powerful instruments of international diplomacy and people-to-people relations. He expressed ICMEI’s desire to expand cultural engagement with Moldova through cinema, television, media, performing arts, visual arts, literature, fashion, education and other creative disciplines.

“We are keen to enhance our activities of art and culture with Moldova and look forward to the cooperation and support of the Embassy of Moldova in India. We believe that regular cultural exchanges, film screenings, festivals, educational programmes and interactions between creative professionals can bring the people of our two countries even closer,” Dr. Marwah added.

ICMEI has been consistently working to promote international relations through art and culture, creating platforms for filmmakers, artists, media professionals, educators and cultural representatives from different countries to interact and collaborate.

Noida: The prestigious 10th Hindi Cinema Samman will be presented during the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026, adding another significant milestone to one of India’s prominent celebrations of cinema, media, art and culture.

Announcing the 10th edition of the awards, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Global Film Festival Noida and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, said that the Hindi Cinema Samman was instituted to recognize and honour distinguished personalities whose outstanding contribution has strengthened Indian cinema and enhanced its reputation nationally and internationally.

“Hindi cinema is one of India’s most powerful cultural ambassadors. For decades, it has carried our stories, emotions, music, traditions and values to audiences across the world. Through the Hindi Cinema Samman, we salute those extraordinary individuals whose creativity, dedication and lifelong contribution have enriched the film industry and inspired generations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Dr. Marwah added that the completion of ten editions of Hindi Cinema Samman represents a decade-long commitment to acknowledging excellence and preserving the legacy of Indian cinema.

“The 10th edition is a landmark for us. Our objective is not merely to present an award, but to document and celebrate the contribution of those who have given a new dimension to Hindi cinema. Their achievements form an important chapter in India’s cultural history,” Dr. Marwah emphasized.

The 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026, hosted at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City, will bring together filmmakers, actors, producers, directors, writers, technicians, film educators, media professionals, diplomats and cinema enthusiasts from India and abroad.

The festival is designed as an international platform for promoting creative excellence, cultural diplomacy, film education, global cooperation and “Love, Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture.” A series of film screenings, workshops, masterclasses, seminars, exhibitions, discussions, cultural programmes and interactions with distinguished personalities will form part of the festival.

The 10th Hindi Cinema Samman ceremony is expected to be one of the major highlights of the 19th Global Film Festival Noida, celebrating the remarkable journey of Hindi cinema and honouring personalities who have contributed substantially to its growth, prestige and international presence.

The event is being promoted with the support of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and AAFT, further reinforcing Noida Film City as an important centre for cinema, media education and international cultural exchange.

ICMEI Constitutes ICMEI–BRICS to Strengthen Cultural Relations Among BRICS Nations

Noida, India: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) has announced the constitution of a new body, ICMEI–BRICS, with the objective of strengthening cultural, creative and people-to-people relations among BRICS nations through the powerful mediums of art, culture, cinema, television, media and education.

The announcement was made by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of ICMEI–BRICS, on the auspicious occasion of India hosting the 18th BRICS Summit 2026 under its Presidency and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“We are already actively working with BRICS nations through our bilateral cultural forums, including the Indo Brazil Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-China Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Egypt Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Ethiopia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Indonesia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Iran Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Russia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Saudi Arabia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-South Africa Film and Cultural Forum, and Indo-UAE Film and Cultural Forum,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

“We have no hesitation in bringing the activities of these forums together under the larger umbrella of ICMEI–BRICS. This platform will enable us to further enhance our relations with BRICS countries through art and culture and create greater opportunities for filmmakers, artists, writers, media professionals, educators, students and cultural organisations,” Dr. Marwah added.

The Board of ICMEI enthusiastically supported the formation of the new body, considering the occasion particularly significant as India hosts the BRICS Summit and plays a leading role in advancing dialogue and cooperation among member nations.

ICMEI–BRICS will work towards promoting film and Literary festivals, cultural exchanges, Fashion Week, media collaborations, educational programmes, artistic delegations, seminars, workshops, joint productions and institutional partnerships among participating countries.

Dr. Marwah emphasized that culture has the unique ability to transcend geographical and linguistic boundaries. “Our objective is to use the creative arts as an instrument of friendship, mutual understanding and peace. ICMEI–BRICS will add a strong cultural dimension to the growing cooperation among BRICS nations,” he said.

The formation of ICMEI–BRICS marks another important step in ICMEI’s continuing mission of promoting Love, Peace and Unity through Art and Culture across the world.

New Delhi: In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening India–Russia cultural and creative relations, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the 18th BRICS Summit hosted by India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focusing on greater cooperation in the fields of film, television, art, culture and media.

The MoU represents an important step towards expanding people-to-people relations and creating new platforms for filmmakers, artists, media professionals, cultural organisations and creative institutions from India and Russia to work together.

The agreement is expected to encourage joint initiatives, professional exchanges, cultural programmes, film and television collaborations, festivals, educational interactions and greater institutional cooperation between the two countries.

The occasion was graced by a distinguished Russian delegation including Ms. Svetlana Vitalievna Chupsheva, CEO, Moscow Arbat; Ms. Anastasila Dubrovskia, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Division, Moscow Arbat; Ms. Elena Gaiazova, Deputy Chief of Staff, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Moscow; Ms. Natala Linovitruaya, Head of International Department, Moscow; and Ms. Ekaterina Cherkes Zade, Moscow.

Noida: Renowned film, television and media personality and 12-time World Record holder Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been officially nominated as Patron of the Film and Television Producers Association (FTPA), adding another significant responsibility to his distinguished journey in the media and entertainment industry.

The announcement was made during a special meeting at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City, attended by the complete Governing Council of FTPA. Dr. Marwah, who is also President of Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), expressed his gratitude to the Association for the honour and confidence bestowed upon him.

“Producers are the driving force behind the film and television industry. They transform ideas into reality, bring together creative and technical talent, generate employment and contribute substantially to the growth of the entertainment economy. North India has enormous creative potential, and we must build a stronger ecosystem that provides producers with greater opportunities, recognition, collaboration and institutional support,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and a strong advocate of health, wellness and humanitarian initiatives, inaugurated a DOCPACT Medical Camp organised at Hanuman Mandir under the guidance of Shankar Khatri and Sant Aman Giri Ji.

The medical camp was organised with the objective of extending healthcare support and creating greater awareness about preventive health and wellness among the community. Dr. Marwah appreciated the dedicated efforts of Shankar Khatri, particularly his commitment to organising the medical camp through his own resources.

“Service to humanity is one of the highest forms of social responsibility. Health is the foundation of a productive and peaceful society.
