London,23rd May 2023 – Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, had the esteemed privilege of being a special invitee at the book release event of Dame Asha Khemka’s autobiography, titled “India Made Me Britain Enabled Me.” The event took place at the House of Commons at the British Parliament, in the presence of distinguished guests, including Lord Karan Bilimoria and Lord Rami Ranger.
Dame Asha Khemka, a former British educator renowned for her outstanding contributions, had served as the Principal and CEO of West Nottinghamshire College. Her autobiography chronicles her remarkable journey, highlighting the challenges she faced and the opportunities she seized to become a trailblazer in the education sector. The book received an enthusiastic reception from the audience, who appreciated Dame Asha Khemka’s compelling narrative.
Recognized for her significant accomplishments, Dame Asha Khemka was appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Staffordshire in 2017 and has been a long-term resident of the region. In addition, she was awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2008 and was elevated to Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2014, becoming the fourth woman of Indian origin to receive such a prestigious honor since its establishment in 1917. Furthermore, she was named Asian Businesswoman of the Year in 2017, further cementing her position as a respected leader in her field.
