| Dr. Sandeep Marwah Nominated Chair for Indo Timor-Leste Film and Cultural Forum |
New Delhi, September 2025: The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in New Delhi hosted a dignified ceremony to mark the formation of the Indo Timor-Leste Film and Cultural Forum.
During the occasion, H.E. Mr. Karlito Nunes, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to India, honored and formally nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), as the Chair of the Forum.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Karlito Nunes said, “The establishment of this Forum is a landmark step toward fostering closer cultural and artistic ties between Timor-Leste and India. We are delighted to have Dr. Sandeep Marwah as Chair, whose experience and global standing will strengthen this partnership.”
In response, Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his gratitude. “I am deeply honored to be nominated as Chair of the Indo Timor-Leste Film and Cultural Forum. Together, we will create new opportunities in films, media, art, education, and tourism, thereby enhancing friendship and cultural diplomacy between our two nations,” he said.
The Forum aims to serve as a platform for promoting bilateral cooperation in cinema, media, culture, and related creative industries, further cementing India–Timor-Leste relations.
