Visit of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to Thailand Brings New Energy to Bilateral Relations

Phuket, Thailand: The recent visit of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to Phuket, Thailand, has infused new energy into the growing relationship between India and Thailand. During his visit, Dr. Marwah held numerous meetings with leading professionals from the hospitality and tourism fraternity, resulting in meaningful discussions and the exchange of innovative ideas aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The deliberations focused on developing and promoting bilateral relations through art, culture, hospitality, tourism, and media, recognizing these sectors as powerful instruments of people-to-people connect. Several new concepts and collaborative initiatives were explored to enhance academic exchange, professional training, and cultural engagement.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who is also President of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, proposed student exchange programs, educational trips to Thailand, and structured study tours for students of the AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication. These initiatives are expected to provide international exposure and practical learning opportunities while strengthening cultural understanding between the two nations.

While interacting with the media at Hotel Holiday Inn Resort, Phuket, Dr. Marwah stated, “Thailand and India share a natural cultural bond. Collaboration in hospitality, tourism, art, and education will further deepen our relationship and create long-term mutual benefits.”

The visit marks another significant step in reinforcing Indo–Thailand relations through institutional partnerships, academic exchange, and cultural diplomacy, opening new avenues for sustained cooperation.
