| Sandeep Marwah Honoured at Emergency Remembrance Program for Outstanding Contribution to Education and Social Service |
New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of Marwah Studios, attended a special commemorative programme organized by Abhay Sinha under the banner of the Loknayak Jayaprakash International Studies Development Centre at Gandhi Bhawan to mark the remembrance of the Emergency and pay tribute to the ideals of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan.
The event brought together eminent personalities from diverse walks of life, including education, politics, social service, media, and public administration, to reflect upon the significance of democracy, constitutional values, and the sacrifices made during the Emergency.
On the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah was honoured for his outstanding contribution to society through education and social welfare. The organizers recognized his remarkable efforts in providing creative education to more than 35,000 students over the last 34 years through AAFT and associated institutions by making quality professional education accessible at subsidized fees. His commitment to social responsibility through Apna School, an initiative dedicated to educating underprivileged children, was also highly appreciated.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan was a visionary leader and a true revolutionary who stood firmly for democratic values and social justice. His courageous leadership during the Emergency inspired millions of Indians to unite in the defence of democracy and constitutional freedoms. His ideals continue to motivate future generations to work towards a stronger, more inclusive, and democratic India.”
Dr. Marwah further emphasized that education remains one of the most powerful instruments for empowering society and creating responsible citizens. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting value-based education, creativity, and social development through the institutions established under his leadership.
