AAFT Join Hands with United Nations Information Centre

“My soul objective of producing largest number of films in the World is to highlight all those points which may bring in change into the society for good. It should bring peace and develop humanity as world religion” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios as the opening remarks at the workshop specially designed for film directors from AAFT at United Nations Information Centre at Delhi.

“The United Nations is an international organization with the membership of 193 countries committed to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights” said Kiran Mehra Kerpelman Director of UNIC India and Bhutan.

Rajeev Chandran the information Officer of UNIC gave number of examples and case studies to bring in interest into 23 AAFT Directors to direct films of the subjects related to United Nations. Later few films were also screened during the workshop.

8th Media Excellence Awards 2014 at FICCI

New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and World record holder in Media honored at the dairy Industry Expo today at Pragati Maidan by the organizers in a glittering function.

Sandeep Marwah who has been recently appointed as the Managing Director of NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Ltd has contributed a lot towards Cooperative Movement.

The Expo was inaugurated by Member Parliament Naveen Jindal who said,”We are the largest producer of milk in India but quality wise we need to work very hard”. Workshop on News for TV at 2nd Global Festival of Journalism

“The style and presentation of News have changed from time to time keeping in mind the requirements of the audience” said Onkareswar Pandey renowned television journalist from Bhasker TV while conducting the workshop during 2^nd Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2014.

The idea was to relate and to inform young television journalists and media students with the latest method, techniques and ways of collecting, editing and presenting the news on channels.

Answering the questions Onkareswar Pandey gave examples of number of different channels and foreign news on TV. The workshop finished with a note of thanks and presentation of life membership of International Journalism Centre to Pandey.

Seminar on The Role of Social Media In Changing The Face of Journalism

“It is the age of citizen’s journalism. First it was mobile which added to citizen’s journalism and now the social media has contributed a lot to it. Mahatma Gandhi Remembered at 2nd Global Festival of Journalism Noida

 “Gandhi was probably the greatest journalist of all time, Gandhi looked upon journalism as a means to serve the people” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios introducing Mahatma Gandhi Forum of Asian Education Group at 2^nd Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2014.

 The weeklies Mahatma Gandhi edited were probably the best. He published no advertisement; at the same time he did not want his newspapers to run at a loss. He had gained considerable experience in South Africa, where he had taken over in1904 the editorship of the 'Indian Opinion' and published it in English, Tamil and Gujarati, sometimes running the press himself. Gandhi’s newspapers 'Young India' and 'Harijan' became powerful vehicles of his views on all subjects.

Ashok Nagpure Exhibits Sketches at 2nd Global Festival of Journalism

2^nd Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2014 has attracted many segments of life, art and culture. The festival exhibits paintings, still photography and also sketches by renowned artist Ashok Nagpure from Nasik.

“I am impressed by the works of Ashok, he has caliber, quality and quantum” said Shivajirao Patil while inaugurating the exhibition. “I have requested Ashok to be part of our fine arts department it will add to our standards” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

The exhibition was attended by H.E. Ambassador of Solvenia, former minister of UP Madan Chauhan, Dayanand Vats of All India Journalist and Writers Association, Vipin Gaur of News Paper Association. Guinness Book record holder Ashok Nagpure displayed his sketch of 432 feet in length and 8 feet in breath along with 12 sketches of former Presidents of India which he made in 12 hours. Nagpure  also announced his next project of 72 feet by 42 feet portrait of Amitabh Bachchan.

2nd Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2014 Declared Open

2^nd GFJN 2014 was declared open to people today at Noida Film City for three days from 12^th to 14^th February. The festival is planned to mark respect to the International Day Journalism which falls on 12^th Feb.

International Journalism Centre along with many national and international organizations are participating in the second edition of the only festival of this kind in Asia.  “We will have 32 events including workshops, seminars, master classes, exhibitions, book releases, Documentary, ENG and short films screenings during the festival” informed Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

Dilip Padgaonkar on the Board of International Journalism Centre

 Internationally renowned journalist Dilip Padgaonkar agreed to be on the board of International Journalism Centre to share his huge experience in the field of journalism. “we have requested Dilip to be with us at Delhi and also talk to the media students at the academy” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

Sandeep Marwah also the President of International Journalism Centre called upon Dilip Padgaonkar during his visit to Pune to invite him to be part of advisory council of International Journalism Centre.

Dilip Padgaonkar began his distinguished career in journalism at the age of 24. After receiving a doctorate in humanities from the Sorbonne in June 1968, he joined the Times of India as its Paris correspondent. He served the paper in various capacities before he was appointed its editor in 1988, a post he held for six years. In between, from 1978 to 1986, he also worked with UNESCO in Bangkok and Paris.
