Noida: It was only last year when the management of International Journalism Centre constituted under the leadership of Dr. Prof. Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister, first ever Mahatma Gandhi National Award For Journalism for all those who all have contributed immensely in the field of journalism to mark respect to 12th February, the international Day of Journalism.

On the final day of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 five prominent personalities from the profession of journalism were honored in grand function from the international platform of Marwah Studios. P. K. Bajaj of Mayapuri, Kumkum Chadha of Hindustan Times, U. S. Sonthalia of Fame India, Arvind Kumar Singh of Rajya Sabha TV and Ramesh Chandra of Zee TV were the recipients of this most prestigious National Award.

“I am much obelized for this award, this gesture has added a new energy into my system. I thank IJC for recognizing my efforts,” said P.K.Bajaj Publisher and Editor of the oldest film magazine Mayapuri.

“This is a total surprise to me. Now I feel my 40 years service to journalism years has been recognized. This is the best thing happened to me,” said Kumkum Chadha writer & senior journalist from Hindustan Times.

“Journalism is my passion. I always believe in positive journalism. This award is for my whole team who has been supporting me from years,” added U.S. Sonthalia publisher and Editor of Fame India.

“I have seen ample years in journalism. I worked in many national news papers . and ups and downs of journalism. Today I feel complete with this Mahatma Gandhi National Award,” said Arvind Kumar Singh from Rajya Sabha TV.

“Nothing is more encouraging and satisfying than recognition of your hard efforts. I am astonished with the size of award I have been honored with. I am feeling short of words in expressing my happiness, ”said Ramesh Chandra Senior journalism from Zee TV.

The event was attended by large number of filmmakers, journalists, students, and people from different strata of life from all over India and abroad.
