Noida, India – The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, organized by AAFT, delivered an eclectic and truly international fashion experience during its second session. With numerous countries participating on the ramp, the event underscored the universal appeal of fashion.
Sandeep Marwah, President of the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing the global unity and diversity represented through fashion.
The event was graced by distinguished guests of honor, including: H.E. Yasiel Alines Burillo Rivera, Ambassador, Embassy of Panama, Aji Fatoumatta Joof, First Secretary, High Commission of The Gambia, Saundarya Mehtani, Design Director, Ttrova Design, Sahiba Gurnani Wirk, Founder, Midori by SGV, Anit Nagpal, Director, Bang on Target PR and Media Solutions
Designers from AAFT displayed an impressive array of collections inspired by various cultures around the world: Devraj ,Bhawna and Rishita took Iraq as their subject, Fizza was showcasing garments inspired by the culture of Azerbaijan, Chestha went close to the country of Fiji, Priyanka Chaudhary studied Cambodia for her presentation of garment range, Priya Pandey showcased garments impressed by Panama, Himanshu Patwa highlighted Myanmar through his range and Armenian garments range was designed by Aastha, Shristi & Laiba, Anupam Priya.
A special highlight of the event was the launch of a Coffee Table Book titled “Zardozi,” designed by Anika Rai Sadh, a student of Fashion Communication at AAFT.
The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 continues to set a high standard for international fashion, celebrating cultural diversity and creativity. This event not only showcased the talents of emerging designers but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the global fashion community.
The event was supported by Indo Armenia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Azerbaijan, Indo Cambodia, Indo Fiji, Indo Iraq, Indo Myanmar and Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry along with World Peace Development and Research Foundation.
