Dr. Sandeep Marwah Invited by Film Fraternity of Mexico to Inaugurate Mexican Film Festival 2025

Mexico City / Durango, 2025: The distinguished film fraternity of Mexico extended a warm invitation to Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of Marwah Studios, to inaugurate the upcoming Mexican Film Festival 2025. This historic gesture marks a significant step in strengthening cultural and cinematic ties between India and Mexico, opening new avenues for cooperation in arts, education, and media.

The meeting witnessed the presence of several eminent film personalities and cultural representatives, including: Edgar Valenzuela Vargas – President, National Council of Cinematography, Luis Fher Palatto – CEO, UNIFEST, José Luis Cano Hinojosa – Film Director, Dr. HC Eliselma de los Ríos – Director of International Relations, National Council of Cinematography (CONACINE), Victor Martínez Velasco – Screenwriter, Actor, Producer, and Director, Mariel Abish Cabrera Galván – Actress, Dr. Emilio Piz Rosas – Director of Institutional Liaison, Juárez University of the State of Durango (UJED), Alan Jonsson Gavica – Film Director, Producer, and Writer, Luis Trujillo Martínez – Film Director, MC Ana Manzanera – CEO, Producciones Manzanera, Ing. Miguel Ángel Orona Valtierra – Coordinator, Dolores del Río Mexican Film Festival & Director, Multimedia Cultural Center (Institute of Culture of the State of Durango, Mexico) AND Lic. In his address, Dr. Marwah referred to the Indo-Mexican Film and Cultural Forum, which he chairs in India, and announced a series of promising collaborations to be designed in the coming months. These include: A scholarship for a short-term course at AAFT for deserving Mexican students; A Festival of Mexican Films in India; Active Mexican participation in upcoming global festivals hosted by Marwah Studios and ICMEI including: Global Literary Festival Noida, International Documentary Film Festival.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Marwah extended his heartfelt thanks to the film fraternity of Mexico for the warm welcome, the invitation to inaugurate the festival, and the honor of being offered a Mexican National Award.

The gathering reflected the enthusiasm of the Mexican film community to collaborate with global creative leaders and highlighted the growing recognition of India’s film industry on the international stage.
