ICMEI Congratulates Republic of Korea on Liberation Day

New Delhi, August 15, 2025: On the auspicious occasion of the Liberation Day of the Republic of Korea, celebrated on 15th August, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the entire Indian art and culture fraternity extended their heartfelt greetings and best wishes to H.E. Lee Seong Ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, and to the people of Korea.

“India and South Korea share a powerful and time-tested relationship, built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision for peace and prosperity. We are proud that the bond of art, culture, and cinema has further deepened this friendship,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios & ICMEI.

The Indo–South Korea Film and Cultural Forum, established under the aegis of ICMEI, has been an integral part of every major activity at Marwah Studios. Year after year, it has played a vital role in promoting cultural diplomacy, hosting Korean delegations, film festivals, cultural shows, academic exchanges, and creative collaborations.

“ICMEI has been continuously entertaining and engaging with Korean art, culture, and cinema through diverse programs. We reaffirm our commitment to celebrating Korea’s rich heritage while opening new avenues of cooperation between our two nations,” added Dr. Marwah.

The celebration not only honors Korea’s journey of freedom but also reaffirms the ever-growing partnership between India and South Korea, with culture acting as a strong bridge of friendship.
