Filmi Interaction with Film Makers at Marwah Studios

Noida, India — Marwah Studios once again became the hub of creativity and international collaboration as acclaimed filmmakers came together for a special interaction session. Present at the occasion were AAFTian Tushar Tyagi, director of internationally appreciated short films Saving Chintu and Lali; Hollywood Producer Dru Davis, known for the Academy Award-winning The Trial of the Chicago 7; and distinguished writer Anupma Bhardhwaj.

Welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, recalled his own cinematic milestones. He highlighted Marwah Studios’ contribution to India’s first Oscar-winning short film Smile Pinky, where the studio worked on graphics, animation, opening and closing titles, and post-production. He also mentioned the visit of  students of the Asian School of Business to the prestigious University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts, California, and his honour at the Cairo International Festival alongside international icons Lucy Liu, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek.

Sharing his journey, Tushar Tyagi expressed heartfelt gratitude to AAFT, crediting the institution’s education and training for shaping his career and taking him to new professional heights. Dru Davis admired the world-class infrastructure and facilities at AAFT and extended his appreciation for the institution’s contribution to global cinema. Meanwhile, Anupma Bhardhwaj expressed her deep interest in penning a book on the remarkable journey of Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

The session was vibrant, thought-provoking, and an inspiring exchange for young filmmakers and students present, reaffirming Marwah Studios’ position as an epicentre of film, media, and cultural dialogue.
