Soroptimist Members Engage in Inspiring Workshop on Cinema at Marwah Studios |
Noida, 14th August 2025: Marwah Studios, the iconic hub of creativity in Noida Film City, recently welcomed an esteemed delegation of Soroptimist International members for an exclusive workshop on the world of cinema and media.
The distinguished visitors included Madhu Gupta, Jaya Ahuja (President, Soroptimist), Dr. Nandini Hazarika, Mridu Sharma, Puja Chadha (Secretary), Dr. Shalini Shrimali, and Sangitha Sethi. Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working to transform the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment, and enabling opportunities.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, President of Marwah Studios, and Chancellor of AAFT University, delivered an insightful presentation tracing the fascinating history of Noida Film City, the journey of Marwah Studios, and the remarkable achievements of AAFT. He also addressed the members’ questions on the formation of the film city, its role in India’s media and entertainment industry, and the opportunities it has generated over the decades.
The visit took on a heartwarming turn when Soroptimist members interacted with the children of Apna School—a free school for underprivileged children run under the aegis of Marwah Studios. The guests generously distributed school stationery, bringing smiles and encouragement to the young learners.
As a special gesture, Dr. Marwah presented each visiting member with a copy of his latest book, Sandeep Marwah – An Architect of Aspiration, along with honorary life membership of the International Women’s Film Forum of AAFT.
“This interaction embodies the spirit of empowerment, education, and social responsibility that both Soroptimist International and Marwah Studios stand for,” said Dr. Marwah. “It was a delight to host such a dedicated group committed to uplifting women and communities.”
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from both organizations to explore future collaborations aimed at skill development, education, and cultural exchange.
