Noida, India: The 8th Hindi Cinema Samman Awards, held as part of the 17th Global Film Festival 2024 at Marwah Film City, Noida, celebrated remarkable individuals for their outstanding contributions to promoting Hindi and Hindi Cinema worldwide. Among the honored dignitaries were H.E. Diana Mickevičienė, Ambassador of Lithuania to India, recognized for their exceptional efforts in fostering cultural appreciation for Hindi films.

The prestigious event was organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), a body committed to promoting artistic and cultural excellence globally. Among the esteemed awardees was Firdausal Hassan, President Elect of FFI – Film Federation of India, who was presented with the Hindi Cinema Samman National Award for Promoting Hindi and Hindi Cinema. The award was presented by Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI – International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, along with Sakshi Mehra, President of MPA – Motion Picture Association, and Abhay Sinha, President of IMPPA – Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association.

Cyprus Named Focus Nation at 17th Global Film Festival

Noida: The 17th Global Film Festival is delighted to announce Cyprus as the Focus Nation for this year’s edition, showcasing three highly acclaimed films from the country. The announcement was made by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the festival and Chairperson of the Indo-Cyprus Film and Cultural Forum.

This significant collaboration was the result of discussions between Dr. Marwah and H.E. Evagoras Vryonides, the Ambassador of Cyprus to India. Over the course of the three-day festival, these remarkable films will be available for audiences, cinephiles, and cultural enthusiasts to experience and appreciate.
