New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT University and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), had the honour of attending the 205th Independence Anniversary Celebration of the Republic of Peru held at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.

On the occasion, Dr. Marwah extended his warm congratulations to H.E. Mr. Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde, Ambassador of Peru to India, on behalf of the media and entertainment fraternity of India. The celebration brought together diplomats, government officials, business leaders, and distinguished members of the international community to commemorate Peru’s National Day and the enduring friendship between India and Peru.

As the Chair of the Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum, Dr. Sandeep Marwah reiterated his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through cinema, media, art, culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Speaking to the press, Dr. Marwah said, “It is a privilege to join the people of Peru in celebrating the 205th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Peru. India and Peru share cordial and friendly relations, and there is tremendous scope for expanding cooperation in the fields of film, culture, education, media, and the creative industries. Through the Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum, we remain committed to building stronger bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between our two nations.”

Dr. Marwah also conveyed his sincere appreciation to H.E. Mr. Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde for his dedicated efforts in further strengthening Indo-Peruvian relations and wished the Government and the people of Peru continued peace, prosperity, and progress. Hon’ble Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Textiles, Shri Pabitra Margherita Ji was the Chief Guest of the event.

The celebration served as an excellent platform for diplomatic interaction and cultural exchange, reaffirming the shared values of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between India and Peru. Dr. Marwah interacted with members of the diplomatic corps and distinguished guests, emphasizing the growing importance of cultural diplomacy in fostering stronger international partnerships.

Peruvian Film “Yaku Onan – Caminos Del Agua” Honoured at 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026

Noida: The Peruvian film “Yaku Onan – Caminos Del Agua”, directed by Juan Duran, was presented with the prestigious Award of Distinction during the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026. The film received wide appreciation from the audience for its compelling narrative and artistic excellence.

The screening of the film was formally inaugurated by Mr. Enrique Descalzi, Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Peru in India. The event highlighted the growing cultural engagement between India and Peru through cinema and creative arts.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum and President of Marwah Studios, expressed his appreciation for the meaningful participation of Peru at the festival. He emphasized that such cinematic exchanges strengthen bilateral cultural ties and create greater understanding between the people of both nations.

Dr. Shahi Shaika, Dean of the School of Photography, presented the memento and the Award of Distinction to the Peruvian film on behalf of the management of the festival.

Speaking on the occasion, Cultural Counsellor Enrique Descalzi thanked the festival authorities for showcasing Peruvian cinema on an international platform. He appreciated the efforts of the Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum in promoting cultural diplomacy and fostering artistic collaboration between Peru and India.

Known for his innovative culinary techniques and expertise in Peruvian cuisine, Chef Castillo captivated the students with his creative approach to cooking and shared his passion for Peruvian gastronomy.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the Indo-Peru Film and Cultural Forum for over a decade, was a special invitee at the celebration of the 203rd Independence Day of the Republic of Peru. The event took place at Hotel ITC Maurya in New Delhi, and the invitation was extended by His Excellency Javier Pauliinich Velarde, Ambassador of Peru to India.

 The Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Peru, showcased the captivating documentary film “THE INCAS- CITIES IN THE CLOUDS” during the 12th Global Festival of Journalism Noida, organized by the International Journalism Centre. The festival aims to underscore the significance of February 12th as the International Day of Journalism.

The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Javier Paulinich, Ambassador of Peru to India, at Marwah Studios, where he addressed a large audience and emphasized the deepening cultural ties between Peru and India.

“As representatives of Peru, we take pride in our association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), through which we have collaborated on numerous cultural events. We have been avid participants in the diverse array of programs organized by ICMEI,” remarked Ambassador Javier Paulinich, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, in recognition of the exemplary contribution of the Peruvian documentary, presented the prestigious Award of Distinction to Ambassador Javier Paulinich. Additionally, the ambassador was honored with a festival memento as a symbol of the strong bond between India and Peru.

New Delhi, June 9, 2023 – Sandeep Marwah, the Chair for Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum and President of Marwah Studios, was honored as a special invitee at the premiere show of the Hollywood blockbuster film “Transformers: Rise of the Beast.” The film, which showcases the breathtaking landscapes of the Andes in Peru, was organized by the Embassy of Peru in India and held at Cinepolis DLF, New Delhi.

The Ambassador of Peru, H.E Javier Pauliinich Velarde, expressed his joy at the global success of the film and its portrayal of Peru’s picturesque locations. He extended his gratitude to the esteemed audience for their presence at the premiere. Sandeep Marwah, in his address, highlighted the immense opportunity for Peru to promote its tourism through such international film ventures, emphasizing the impact it would have on attracting visitors from around the world.

Peru Film MATAINDIOS Appreciated at 14th Global Film Festival Noida


Peru Film Part of 14th Global Film Festival Inaugurated by Ambassador

Noida: One of the popular films- ‘Mataindios’ from the land of Peru was the special entry to the festival which was formally inaugurated by H.E. Carlos Polo Ambassador of Peru to India on the first day of Festival with house full show.

“I on behalf of the 14th Global Film Festival Noida 2021 welcome the Peruvian Film to the festival and our heartiest thanks to the Ambassador for formally inaugurating the screening of the film,” said Sushil Bharti Co-Director of the festival.

The film is directed by Oscar Sanchez Saldana, written by Robert Julca Motta & Oscar Sanchez Saldana, Staring Nataly Aures, Glecerio Reynoso, Carlos Solano and others.

“The Peruvian cinema has grown bigger in last few years. Some of the best films have been produced and have done well commercially within the country itself. It is a great honor to be part of this international festival and talking about Peru culture through films,” said H.E. Carlos Polo Ambassador of Peru to India.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah Presented Patronship & honoured H.E. Carlos polo Ambassador of Peru with Hindi Cinema Samman for promoting Hindi Cinema in his country.” We are connected to Peru now for a long time.
